On behalf of the Rooneys family and all of the staff, we would like to say that you are very welcome at Rooneys public house. Our goal is to create an elegant, enjoyable and authentic Irish Pub setting true to both our family and the Old Sod. In Ireland, they have a word for having a good time- "craic" (pronounced crack). At Rooney's, we want you to enjoy the craic and have an authentic Irish experience.
To this end, our pub was designed and crafted in Ireland. Along with the many items brought over from Ireland, you will notice Rooney family memorabilia. Emigrating from Newry, County Down, the Rooney family has long since been associated with Ireland. What is less known is that the Rooney family has a tradition of being pub operators dating back to the early 20th century.
Today, our intent is to provide as authentic of an Irish experience as possible on this side of the Atlantic. We hope you enjoy your time with us!
The Pitsburgh Steeler Connection
